Eric "Doc"  and Jason connected on two whitetails in Talbot co.
What a fantastic morning set up in two different locations self flilming the bucks were out responding to rattling and grunting. Eric dropped his right in his tracks and Jason was able to call his in in over a bean field. Crisp cool morning and food sources paid dividends.

Just can't beat a morning like this with friends

Eric (myself) and dad Jim made a recent trip to Premier Outfitters of Western Kentucky with owner Mark Clifford. It was a rare firearms rut hunt with rifle season opening on the 12th of November. Boy, oh boy, were the bucks in a rutting mood! Despite hot weather (as high as the 70's) and strong winds, the rutting activity was great. Bucks were on their feet all day, with tons of chasing happening from 11am till 1 pm, as it often does during a full moon phase. In 3 days of hunting, I had 23 individual buck sightings! I had passed on 2 definite shooters the first day, that after looking at video footage that evening, should have been harvested! Especially since the biggest was well within bow range of less than 20 yards!

I can't say enough about the quality of the hunt, the properties, the game management and the work ethic of the guides. If anyone is interested in a true fair chase hunt for BIG whitetails, check 'em out at
http://premieroutfitters.com/ and call Mark. he'll surely take good care of you.

What a fantastic time it was for Alex and dad Jason. We were invited to hunt a great farm in Delmar by Rick n Rick. Great people and great times. Alex watched a wheat field full of does for two hours with no buck sightings. So a healthy doe it was. MEAT! What a shot...great video to boot!
